This page uses Markov chains to procedurally generate original names.

Given a set of words as training data, the name generator calculates the probability of a letter appearing after the sequence of letters chosen so far.

This generator is feed with names appearing in Frank Herbert novels as well the prequels and sequels written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Andersson.

For some areas of this vast universe some these have been complemented by actual names.

Fremen: All the names of people which are known to be Fremen, or people which where known to act in Arrakis, are part of this dataset. This dataset has been also feed with arabian names.

Harkonnen: Names used here are from Russian and Finnish origin.

Tleilaxu: A Mix of arab, finnish and, greek names have given this ... Face Dancer feel

Sisterhoods: Female western names have been used. Both understood as Bene Gesserit, or Honored Matres

Landsraad: This includes all datasets meaning that a name here could belong to anyone in the known universe
